This is why I don't have a smart-phone, don't travel much except locally with an old car, and grow my own food. I reckon I'm ahead of the game.

I live in an hoa no food gardens. But I totally agree with you. We should all do that. We need to restructure our society back to the early days. None of this technology. Hell we cannot even get on the moon with it all. Like we did in 67 hehehe. Yeah right. We are under a firmament.

An agrarian, small-scale, local community-based set-up is the way forward in my opinion. This is possible deep in the countryside with small-scale farming all around me. But as for city-living, I'm not sure.

Never been happier about being 75 and almost 'done.'

Lucky sod, wish I was nearly done.. oh..

John Stuckey's avatar

Here's the thing. It's not that I 'wish it' I'm not suicidal. I simply no longer share the obsessive fear of death.

David Dunderdale's avatar

I'm more obsessed about still being alive in our near future..

Ha ha. Life goes on after this one.

John Stuckey's avatar

I've been 'dead' (no pulse) four times in a 36-hour span. BTW, the only thing that flashed before my eyes before the 2nd and 3rd time was 'knowing' I was going. One and four were unexpected.

My beloved maternal grandmother said her time was soon to be up in her early 80’s. She lived to 99.5! Died at home in her sleep.

That's the way to go out. Fingers crossed.

Almost a little too close to reality to be funny ... scary stuff!

Favourite line: "Would you like me to recommend a 30-hour connecting bus service to Denver from New York?"

AS IF they have the wherewithal to stop thousands of people from travelling...

Well, without killing us first...

Peggy's avatar

I think they are trying to do that - by all their regulations on oil and gas and taxes and tolls - they want to make it so expensive to own a vehicle only the rich and the government will be able to do so.

The Word Herder's avatar

They're hoping we will get fed up, rise up and try to take them out, and then they can loose their DEW's and their big guns on us...

They are probably counting on the military to do what they want... But the soldiers know that they are not required to obey unlawful orders, so it will be mercenaries... I just think they wanted to kill us without us realizing who they are. But we KNOW WHO THEY ARE, it's out there already.

All those dystopian movies like Soylent Green, The Matrix, Total Recall, all the Terminator movies, Minority Report, The Island, Repo! The Genetic Opera and tv shows like Black Mirror (and many more).....

I think their purpose was to get the population ready for dystopia, not to warn of it.

Great stuff brother! Much of this walks the line between sci-fi humor and prophecy/foreshadowing.

I explore the importance of taking action to embrace food sovereignty (via creating a regenerative garden, saving seed and composting to make your own trust worthy soil) in order to empower ourselves to be able to effectively resist the totalitarian digital control grids that are being rolled out globally now on pages 289 and 290 of my book (Recipes For Reciprocity : The Regenerative Way From Seed To Table https://recipesforreciprocity.com ). I`ll attach pics of those two pages to the note below in a comment.

I think I shall also proactively declare this as reason number 26 on this list :

James Corbett has done some great posts on this subject matter.

Thanks for putting this together, the humor coated truth pill format is one of the reasons I love my buddy Riley Waggaman's blog so much.

Here is an interview I did with him in that format which also touches on some pertinent material:

Very dystopian 1984-Isaac Asmov-ish.

Nothing to see here folks, time to move on and smile for the pretty cameras.

It may be humorous, but it’s also true as you already know. One doesn’t need a crystal ball to see the writing on the wall.

Just yesterday I went to the grocery store, and there’s a new smartphone app rule to get any savings. A pound of coffee was $13.99, but the “club” price was $7.99. Typically, one just punches in their phone number at checkout to get the club price, now, you’ve got to get an app to get the savings. Are groceries going to cost nearly double without the app?

It all started with the having to punch in the phone number, and probably long before that. It’s the old slow boil, and not a theory.

We need real, long term, readily available solutions…like claiming our birthright status as man or woman so together we can claim our nation back and restore order. TASA.AmericanStateNationals.org

Thanks for the info! Wasn't aware of that new rule specifically.

Humor and truth are closer by the day. Like the Covid crisis it will probably hit us all by surprise. Prepare-I'm still looking for a rural farming community of good people not too far from 'civilization'. Any suggestions?

Noel Spangler's avatar

Wish I could help. I am still trying to figure it out myself! Currently in NYC.

PJ Maresco's avatar

I'm just outside the city in a northern 'burb' but don't feel far enough from NYC. Grew up there & did my college & grad degrees in NYC. Actually enjoyed living & working there in 80's & 90's but can't stand going into NY now.
